Store description excerpt
FairFare is a Norwegian taxi app with one difference that changes everything else: the app does not calculate what your ride costs. You name the price yourself. The offer goes out to available drivers nearby, and those who think it is worth the trip can take it. No zone pricing, no surge when it rains, no algorithm deciding what you should pay. HOW IT WORKS 1. Enter pickup and destination. 2. Set your price. 3. See which cars the offer reached, and who took it. 4. Follow the car on the map until it arrives. YOU KNOW WHO IS COMING When a driver accepts, you see the name, the car, its colour, the registration number and the arrival time — along with the taxi company the car answers to. PAYMENT Card, Vipps or cash. Your card details are held by the bank, not by us. The receipt is in the app afterwards. BUSINESS RIDES Travelling for your employer? Choose Firm instead of Personal before booking. The company's rules — spending caps, time windows, project codes — are checked before the ride is offered, so a ride the company will not cover is never booked. SCHOOL TRANSPORT Municipalities and schools can set up recurring school transport with weekly plans, split families and per-date exceptions. Guardians are notified when the child is picked up and dropped off. FairFare is operated by KOMASI AS in Norway. Drivers work for licence holders with a valid taxi licence, and every vehicle is verified against the Norwegian business and licence registers before it can take a ride.
