Store description excerpt
A storm is on the map and you have one question: what does this mean for my home? Eyewall answers it in about ten seconds. Open the app and the Dispatch brief for each active storm leads with a plain-language decision headline: what the forecast says, what changed since the last advisory, and exactly when the next one arrives. No jargon to decode, no radar loop to interpret before you know where things stand. Everything is built on official data from NOAA and the National Hurricane Center. Eyewall is not a warning authority and never pretends to be one. For decisions that affect your safety, follow the National Hurricane Center and your local emergency managers. What Eyewall does is make the official picture fast to read and honest about uncertainty. FOR YOUR HOME Save your places and get a Personal Threat Card for each one, organized by hazard: storm surge, wind, rainfall flooding, and tornado risk. See EYEWALL's estimate of when damaging winds could arrive at your location — always labelled as an estimate — alongside the official NHC wind probabilities whenever they are published. All of it is computed on your device. Your location never leaves your phone. When it is time to get ready, generate a Storm Packet: an offline summary of the forecast and your local threat picture. Make it before landfall; read it by flashlight. THE FULL PICTURE • Live storm map with the official NHC forecast cone, track line, and position history • Spaghetti models, so you can see the spread behind the official track • GOES satellite in GeoColor and infrared, with replay • Radar as a storm nears the coast • Recon: live vital signs from hurricane hunter aircraft inside the storm • Advisory countdown, so you know exactly when new information drops Dispatch tells you what changed, not just what is. Every new advisory gets a short editorial brief: the decision headline, what moved since last time, and a forecast ruler that puts the whole track on one line. EN ESPAÑOL Full Dispatch briefs in Spanish, plus the National Hurricane Center's own Spanish-language advisories. FOR THE STORM-OBSESSED Replay eight of the most consequential hurricanes on record — Katrina, Andrew, Ian, Harvey, Maria, Michael, Helene, and Milton — advisory by advisory, alongside a browsable index drawn from the historical record. NO STRINGS Free. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Threat calculations happen on your device, so your saved places never reach our servers. Dark and light themes. A note on notifications: this version of Eyewall for iOS does not send push notifications, and the app is not a substitute for official guidance. When a storm threatens, check the National Hurricane Center and your local emergency management directly. Made for people who read the forecast discussion, and for people who love someone who does.
