ExecutorKit is a calm, private organizer that walks a first time executor through the whole job, one clear step at a time. Start with a phased duties checklist that moves from the first forty eight hours through the middle work and on to final distribution, written in plain language instead of legal jargon. Each task explains what it is, why it matters, and when it is typically due, so you always know the next right move. Build a complete estate picture as you go: Estate inventory. Record every asset and every debt with its value, and flag whether it is likely probate or non probate, so the estate total is always in front of you. Expense and mileage ledger. Log the costs you cover as executor, attach a receipt photo, add mileage, and watch a running reimbursement total so you are paid back correctly. Institution notifications. Track who you have told, the date, the confirmation number, and the follow up that is due, so nothing slips between the bank, the pension, and the insurer. Deadlines and key dates. Keep every important date in one place. Pro adds local reminders on your device. Case Index. Search duties, assets, expenses, receipts, creditor claims, institutions, deadlines, people, and closing records from one private index. Add your own filing tags, such as awaiting bank or originals, without changing the meaning of the original record. Closing tools. Count the certified death certificates and court letters still available, record every manual distribution and whether its signed receipt came back, and keep questions for the lawyer, notary, accountant, or court ready for the next conversation.
