Going over the mileage allowance on a lease or PCP agreement is expensive, and most people only find out at the end, when the invoice arrives. Excess Mileage Calculator shows you where you stand today — and what the miles you are on course to drive will cost you. KNOW WHERE YOU STAND Enter your agreement once: the allowance, the term, the delivery mileage and the pence-per-mile excess charge. Then just add an odometer reading whenever you fill up. The dashboard shows the miles you have used, the miles you should have used by now, and whether you are ahead or behind — with a projection of the excess miles and the exact charge you are heading for. RECORD JOURNEYS WITH GPS Start the recorder and the app tracks a journey in the background, right down to the addresses at each end. A Live Activity keeps the distance on your Lock Screen while you drive. Mark each journey as business or personal, then add its miles straight to your odometer. CLAIM YOUR BUSINESS MILEAGE Business journeys are totalled at HMRC's approved rates — 45p a mile for the first 10,000 miles of the tax year and 25p after that — with the tiers tracked properly across the 6 April tax-year boundary. Export a CSV of your journeys and claim amounts whenever you need to submit them. SEE THE TREND Charts show your mileage against the pace your contract expects, month by month, so a heavy few weeks is obvious long before it becomes a problem. Every reading you save is kept as a check you can look back on. STAY AHEAD OF SERVICING Add your service interval in miles or months and the app works out when the next one is due, with a reminder before it arrives — plus an optional monthly nudge to take a fresh reading.
