Everyone can learn how to pray by following Jesus' example and saying morning prayers. Ultimately, what people say after they wake up is just as important as what they say before going to bed. Jesus instructed his disciples to pray at bedtime. He even told them to pray without ceasing. By doing this, they would show their devotion to God. They would also express their desire for forgiveness for any wrongdoings they committed while awake. After Jesus' death, his early followers continued to teach that people should pray before bed. They did this out of both respect for God and out of a desire not to fall asleep. Over time, this prayer practice spread far and wide within Christianity. By teaching people how to pray, Jesus ensured that his message would live on through the centuries. Good morning prayers became so popular that some churches started offering them specifically for that purpose. They are now an integral part of many Christian traditions around the world. Many Christians still follow Jesus' example by praying in the morning before they start their day. They say a short prayer called a 'matins' or a 'good morning.'
