Essence Flight Academy trains pilots at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles - from a first discovery flight to an airline career. This is the academy's app, and anyone can use it. BOOK A DISCOVERY FLIGHT - NO ACCOUNT NEEDED About an hour in the air with an instructor. No experience needed - you fly the airplane. Open the app, tell us when suits you, and book it. $229. SEE WHAT LEARNING TO FLY COSTS Every training program with its price in plain figures: Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Private Pilot Comprehensive, the Turbo Cirrus program, and the nine-month Airline Pilot Program that takes somebody from no license at all to a professional certificate. KNOW THE SCHOOL BEFORE YOU CALL Where we are, when we are open, and what we fly - twenty aircraft including the Cessna 162, Piper Warrior, Piper Arrow, Diamond DA20, Cirrus SR22 Turbo and Piper Seminole, plus a Redbird MCX full-motion simulator. YOUR TRAINING RECORD, IF YOU FLY WITH US Create a free account with your email address and a password you choose - no invitation, and no code from the office. Once you have flown with us, your hours and your signed instruction tickets appear automatically: what was flown, with whom, and in what. FOR OUR INSTRUCTORS AND OFFICE STAFF Staff sign-in leads to the tools the school runs on: flight tickets written up at the aircraft, hours and balances, account statements, fleet and rates, waivers, contracts and the day's schedule. Staff credentials are required for all of it, and none of it is needed to use the app as a customer.
