The Esko - Improve Slovak Abroad app is designed for children between the ages of 10 and 15, but can also appeal to young people as well as adults. Its aim is to provide space for the development of communication skills in Slovak as a mother tongue for children who live abroad and are not in daily contact with Slovak. It can also be useful for people learning Slovak as a foreign language. Esko - to improve Slovak in foreign countries wants primarily to develop the ability to communicate. The topics are divided into verbs, which are generally the basis of communication. Vocabulary, tasks, and testing are in one block, denoted by a single verb. Esko - improve your foreign language provides the opportunity to practice the use of a verb in various communication situations. A part of the Esko - Improve Slovak Abroad application is also a brief presentation of some parts of Slovak culture, such as cities, famous people or cultural events. The Esko - Improve Slovak Abroad application is created at the Faculty of Arts of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica within the framework of the project KEGA no. 034UMB-4/2018 Development of communication competence in Slovak as a mother tongue in Slovak communities living abroad (project leader: Mgr. Lujza Urbancová, PhD.). Project duration is 2018 - 2019.
