Escape: Castaway is a hand-drawn escape-room adventure set on an island that has no intention of letting you leave. The plane went down. You woke on the sand with wet clothes, no map, and a shoreline that ends in rock every direction you walk. Somewhere in the palms and the tide pools there is enough to keep you alive — and, if you are careful and patient, enough to get you off this beach. WHAT YOU DO Search every corner of the island: the treeline, the cave mouth, the rocks, the shallows. Pick up what you find. Most of it is useless on its own and essential in combination — a blade and a length of stem, a shell and a stone, a coconut and something heavy enough to open it. Four things stand between you and rescue: water, food, shelter, and a way off the water. Each one is a small chain of problems, and each solved chain is one panel closer to the end of the story. WHAT IT IS NOT No timers. No lives. No energy meter that empties while you are away. Nothing is missable and nothing punishes you for thinking slowly.
