Store description excerpt
A list of errands doesn't know that the post office shuts at two and that it's twenty minutes away. Maps know the road but not that you have ninety minutes between work and school pickup. Errand Lap answers the only question you opened your phone for: what can I actually get done in the time I've got. You give it three things. What needs doing. Where it happens and when that place is open. When you're free, and where you have to be at the end. Then it does the arithmetic out loud: Window 13:10 to 14:40. 90 minutes. Pharmacy: 8 min drive, 6 min inside, closes at 20:00. Fits. Post office: 11 min drive, 15 min inside, last entry 13:45, you arrive at 13:35. Tight, but fits. Bank: 14 min drive, 20 min inside. Lands at 14:20 and you need to be at school by 14:40. Does not fit. Total with buffers: 84 of 90. What doesn't fit isn't deleted and doesn't sit there as a guilt list. It goes into the queue for the next window that works, and the app tells you which window that is. WHY THE ORDER LOOKS WRONG AT FIRST The run is built around closing times, not importance. The place that shuts at 14:00 goes first even if the bank matters more, because the bank is open until six. Tap Why This Order and it explains itself. Move things by hand whenever you want, and it will tell you what that costs: "Moving the post office after the bank means you arrive at 14:05. It closes at 14:00." ABOUT QUEUES, HONESTLY No app knows how long the line at the clinic is right now, and this one doesn't pretend to. It starts with your own guess, records how long you actually spent, and after a few visits starts using your number instead: "Your own average here: 25 minutes over 4 visits." No crowd data, no invented wait times. WHAT'S IN IT Places with weekday hours, lunch breaks, closed days and last entry before closing Free windows that start and end at real points, because a run has to finish where you need to be Errands that depend on other errands, so a form you haven't collected yet can't be dropped off Documents to bring, shown at the stop and not at home Run mode: a dark screen for the road with Arrived, Done, Skipped, Running Late Running Late recalculates the rest of the run and says plainly what just stopped fitting Wasted trips: closed unexpectedly, terminal down, wrong document. Logged, and the place gets flagged Shopping lists nested inside a shopping errand, opened at that stop Recurring errands that wait for a window instead of demanding a Tuesday Deadlines counted in windows left, not days left, because days mean nothing when the office works two mornings a week Errands you can hand to someone else, with instructions you send through the share sheet Insights once you've done a few runs: real time per place, your estimates against reality, wasted trips and why, errands that keep waiting
