The app contains information, various coping methods, useful exercises and many other advice and tips for a better everyday life. EPIO is based on scientific methods and principles that we know work, and the goal is for the program to help you reduce the role pain has had in your life. This will make it easier for you to live a good life despite the pain. In the app, you learn about stress, health habits and sleep quality, and how this can affect the experience of pain. You get access to good relaxation techniques, and learn how to deal with pain in the best possible way. The e-health intervention EPIO was developed with an evidence-based and person-centered approach, and underwent an iterative development process with close collaboration between researchers, system developers, health professionals and patient representatives.
