Select a building on the map. You know what there is to know. EcoBuilding brings together what the French state publishes about every building in France, and shows it where you are: in front of the property, during the viewing, or the evening before. WHAT YOU SEE • Energy rating (DPE): the 3D map colours every building, green to red. A whole street reads at a glance. • Consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, estimated yearly energy cost, living area, official survey number. • The building: year built, height, number of storeys, number of dwellings, wall and roof materials. • Local hazards: flooding, clay shrink-swell, earthquake, ground movement, radon, soil pollution, hazardous material pipelines. • The environment: groundwater depth, solar potential, water network efficiency and price. • The neighbourhood: median price per square metre, property tax, household waste tax, schools nearby. SEE THE LAND Switch to satellite view: the French national mapping agency's aerial photo, with cadastral parcel boundaries. You finally see where the land stops — the trees, the outbuildings, the access — what no figure describes. THE PDF REPORT One button, and you get a dated, sourced document: every figure about the building, the aerial photo with the building outlined, a 3D map, and the origin of each piece of information. This is the document you send to a client, a conveyancing solicitor, a French notaire or a builder. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM French public databases: the national building database, the national address database, Géorisques, ADEME, DGFiP, IGN. Every source is cited in the PDF report. NO ACCOUNT, NO ADVERTISING No sign-up. The app opens on the map. Your location is only used to centre the map on your device: it is never sent to our servers. French terms are kept as they are — DPE, taxe foncière, Géorisques. These are the words you will read on French deeds, and a DPE is not a British EPC. Public data describes the building as declared. It can be incomplete or old: a survey is not always published, and the app says so when that is the case.
