Store description excerpt

Dutch splits shared expenses — a dinner, a trip, a flat — and works out who owes whom. No accounts. No servers. No sign-up. EVERYONE'S IN, IN ABOUT A MINUTE You're at the table, the bill has arrived, and nobody wants to make an account before the coffee gets cold. So Dutch doesn't have accounts. Show your group's QR code, everyone scans it, and they're in — with the whole app. Every group also gets a short word sequence like green-moon-tea, so two people can check they're in the same place. WHO OWES WHOM, SOLVED Dutch doesn't just keep a running total. It works out the shortest list of payments that squares everybody up, so six people settling a two-week trip make a few transfers, not a dozen. Mark one paid and the balances clear. BUILT FOR REAL TRIPS • Split a bill evenly, leave someone out, or give one person a double share • Or skip percentages: type the exact amounts off the receipt and the rest divides among the others • More than one of you put money in? Enter it once and say who paid what • Add a tip, tax or service charge as a percentage, applied before the split • Every leftover cent is distributed, never dropped — the totals always reconcile • Paid in another currency? Enter the rate you actually got — Dutch converts once, at that rate, so balances never drift • Enter last night's dinner tomorrow — every expense has a date • Settle part of a debt when only part of it changed hands • Give expenses a category and everyone a colour, so the log can be scanned • Get a notification when someone else adds an expense — written by your phone, not by a server • Send the whole reckoning to anyone as plain text • Archive a trip when it's over, without deleting it • Add an expense and it appears on everybody's phone WHERE YOU SPENT IT, IF YOU WANT Switch on Nearby Places and a button beside the title offers the cafés and restaurants around you: one tap names the expense and pins it to that place, which anyone in the group can open in Maps. Dutch can also set the expense to the currency of the country you're in. Both are off until you turn them on. Dutch reads where you are only when you tap that button — never in the background — and nothing is kept unless you pick somewhere. WITHOUT OPENING THE APP • Ask Siri to add an expense, or what you owe in a group • Long-press the icon to log an expense in the group you were last in • Find any group straight from Spotlight READABLE BY EVERYONE VoiceOver labels throughout, Dynamic Type, and every animation honours Reduce Motion. The colours that carry meaning — what you owe, what you're owed — were measured against the contrast they need. SMALL, AND ENTIRELY YOURS Under 2 MB, and there is no backend. No server holds your expenses, there is no account to create, and there is no analytics of any kind. Your groups live in your own iCloud, and sharing one uses Apple's own CloudKit sharing — the same mechanism as a shared photo album. A place you pin to an expense lives there too. That isn
