DustFox finds the redundant frames in your library and gives you back space on your iPhone and iPad. Everything runs on your device: your photos never reach a server, and you are never asked for an account. Scanning works entirely offline. IT TELLS YOU WHERE TO START The storage card shows how much room is left on the device and how much of it your photos and videos are eating. The ten methods on the home screen are ordered by payoff: the ones that free the most space sit on top. METHODS THAT FREE SPACE WITHOUT DELETING • Shrink Videos — your iPhone has to encode in real time while recording, so it deliberately uses a high bitrate. DustFox re-encodes the very same frames with HEVC, unhurried; resolution and smoothness stay put, the file shrinks. • Compressible Photos — the same frame, in less space, at a quality difference you cannot see. • Live Photos — drops the motion, keeps the frame. METHODS THAT FIND WHAT TO DELETE • Duplicate Photos — groups identical and similar frames using DCT fingerprints. Which frame survives is decided by a jury of measures — sharpness, exposure, resolution, file size — and you can inspect how the vote went, measure by measure. • Blurry Shots — out of focus or shaken. • Large Videos, Large Photos — the biggest space eaters first. • Screenshots — the screen captures that piled up. • Sent to You — WhatsApp media and downloaded files. • Swipe to Clean — left to delete, right to keep. A frame you keep is never shown again. NO MEMORY LOST BY ACCIDENT Everything you delete is moved to the "Recently Deleted" album in Apple Photos and waits there for 30 days. DustFox does not hide this: it says on screen that device space is only reclaimed once you empty that album. IT WORKS WITH WHAT IS ACTUALLY ON THE DEVICE If you use iCloud Photos, frames that live in the cloud take up no device space. By default DustFox only lists frames whose original is on the device — the only group that truly frees space when deleted. Flip the iCloud switch to see the whole library. PRIVACY Every scan, comparison and compression runs on your iPhone. No data is collected and there are no advertising or tracking SDKs. The internet is used only for the Pro purchase and restore.
