Store description excerpt
Five dice, one cup, and the question of who you believe. Dudo - also known as Liar's Dice - is the South American bluffing game that has been played at tables for centuries. Everyone rolls hidden. In turn, someone claims how many dice of a given face are on the whole table. You only ever see your own hand. Whoever doesn't believe the bid calls Dudo - then everyone reveals and the dice are counted. Guess wrong and you hand over a die. The last player still holding dice wins. SAME TABLE One phone is enough for the whole group. You set up the seating, name every seat and move it to where that person actually sits. Computer opponents are welcome to fill the gaps. Then the device goes around: whoever is up sees their own dice only while the button is held down, then passes it on. No internet, no second device, no account. PLAY WITH FRIENDS Open a game, pass on the code, done. Nearby games run straight between the devices with no internet at all - on a train, at the kitchen table, up a mountain. Online games work over any distance. Joining is always free. No account, no sign-up, no friends list. PRACTICE ALONE Against up to five computer opponents who take their time to think and bluff now and then. Good for getting the bidding arithmetic into your fingers before it counts. THE RULES YOU WANT The standard game is solid, and everything beyond it can be switched on or off before you start: • Wild ones - count as any face you like • Calza - the call for exactly right, which wins a die back • Palifico - the special round for whoever drops to their last die • Pass - skip your turn with a full house, five of a kind, or five different faces A guide is built in. If you have never played, you will be up to speed in five minutes. Opening online games is a one-time unlock. Joining stays free for everyone, including those who have not bought anything - so one person in the group unlocking is enough.
