Store description excerpt

DroidCast helps developers and power users mirror an Android phone or tablet and interact with it remotely using the standard Android Debug Bridge (ADB)—over USB or wireless debugging. What you can do Screen mirroring using periodic screen capture with an adjustable refresh interval; idle frames can be skipped to reduce overhead when nothing changes. Touch & navigation: tap, double-tap, long-press, drag; map scroll wheel to swipe; use right-click as Back where supported. Hardware & system keys: Home, Recents, volume, power, search, D-pad, media keys, and more—plus in-app shortcut hints for the mirror area. Wireless workflow: pairing, connect/disconnect, TCP/IP mode, switch back to USB when needed, read Wi‑Fi IP, and tools to recover flaky connections. Networking helpers: adb forward / adb reverse with list views for easier debugging. ADB setup made easier: the app searches common install locations for platform-tools; you can also pick a custom adb path and have it remembered. Extras for daily work: save the current frame, inject clipboard text (with safe escaping for shell), open http(s) links on the device, install APKs, copy a device summary, optional logcat (with clear options), copy adb devices -l, timed adb shell, and accessibility-friendly labels on the mirror UI. Good to know Mirroring is screenshot-based polling, so latency and CPU use differ from full video streaming solutions (for example scrcpy-style streams). You need Developer options and USB debugging enabled on the Android device; wireless debugging follows Android’s normal pairing rules. Android platform-tools (ADB) must be available on the machine running the app—install from Google’s Android SDK / platform-tools package if prompted. Who it’s for Developers testing UI, QA reproducing bugs, kiosk-style demos, and anyone who wants a keyboard-and-mouse-friendly way to drive Android through ADB.
