DriveTrack records how far you drove, how long it took and how fast you were going, from your iPhone's GPS rather than guesswork. One tap to start. Lock your phone and drive. START IT ANY WAY YOU LIKE • One tap on the Home screen, or the round button beside every tab • Ask Siri to start, pause, resume or end a trip, or how far you have driven today • Start it from a Home Screen widget, or from your Apple Watch IN THE CAR • Start a trip, watch it and end it from your car's display in CarPlay • It asks as soon as your phone joins the car, answerable on the car's screen • Large, glanceable figures and one control per row • Start on your phone and finish in the car. It is one trip either way IT NOTICES WHEN YOU DRIVE • Pull away and pick up speed, and one notification asks: Start Trip or Not Now • Answer it from the Lock Screen, without unlocking your phone • Nothing is recorded and no GPS runs until you say yes. The app never starts a trip by itself • It uses the low-power signals iOS already collects, not continuous GPS IT PAUSES WHEN YOU PARK • Stop for a few minutes and the trip pauses itself, so a fuel stop is not counted as driving • Drive on and it picks straight back up, with nothing to tap • Pause it yourself whenever you like, and that pause stands until you end it WATCH IT HOW YOU WANT • Big figures: duration, distance, current and average speed • A live map drawing your route as you go • HUD mode, mirrored, so a phone laid on the dashboard reads the right way round in your windscreen • Switch between all three in the middle of a drive • A Live Activity on the Lock Screen while you drive REPLAY EVERY DRIVE • Watch the whole journey back, at normal speed or faster • The route coloured by speed or by traffic, with how much of the drive went in each band • Elevation and rough moments moving under the playhead • Every stop marked on the map A SCORE FOR HOW YOU DROVE • Drive Quality out of 100, explained in plain English • Four factors: Stops & Starts, Turns, Steady Pace and Your Limit • Your Limit is a speed you pick for yourself, never a claimed road limit • Your smoothest and roughest drives, and your average over any period MOTION SENSORS, IF YOU WANT THEM • Switch on motion scoring and the accelerometer and gyroscope measure the drive a • Harsh braking, sharp turns and heavy acceleration, placed on the route • Off by default, because it is your battery • Say whether you are in a car, on a motorbike or on a bike, and the thresholds follow YOUR HISTORY • Search everything, or step through it a month at a time • Every trip keeps its route, stops, moving and waiting time, and the weather • Start and end places named for you • Free-form tags, notes, and a star for the ones that matter • A month, a year or your whole history, drawn on one map YOUR NUMBERS • Totals by day, week, month and year • Distance, driving time, trip count, averages and records • Time at speed, and the hours you actually drive • Kilometres or miles, following you
