Store description excerpt

drift is a quiet game about going up. Tap to puff, or hold to run the burner. The burner has about four seconds in it and refills whenever you let go. That's the whole control scheme — one finger, no buttons, nothing to learn. Clouds tangle you and cost you height. Birds end the flight. Breezes are worth catching. Reach 0 m and you're back on the ground. THE SKY IS YOUR ALTIMETER Launch at dawn and keep climbing. The sky moves through morning, dusk and finally starlight as you rise, and your balloon's lantern lights itself once it gets dark. You always know how high you are without looking at a number. TWO WAYS TO FLY Endless is one long climb for a best score. Ascent is a guided route through the real layers of the atmosphere — the tropopause, the ozone layer, the stratopause, the mesosphere, up to the Kármán line at the edge of the sky. Each layer resumes where the last one ended, so the whole thing is one continuous journey with somewhere to stop and breathe. CATCH BREEZES, COLLECT BALLOONS Breezes get rarer the higher you go, and worth more when you find them. Spend them on twenty-four balloons across five rarities, or on a reward wheel where the rarest ones live. Trade breezes for stardust to upgrade your reach, your recovery, and the ballast you launch with. Four of the balloons come with a small pixel companion who rides along — a heron, a moth, a cat, an owl, a lamplighter with a lit lantern. Nudge a bird past them and they'll stumble. Fly into a cloud and they'll shut their eyes and flap. NO PRESSURE No timers, no energy, no streaks to lose. The daily gift waits for you — miss a day and nothing is taken away, it simply hasn't moved. Play for thirty seconds or thirty minutes. Made by one person. No ads, no purchases, nothing collected — the game never talks to a server, and your progress lives on your device.
