Store description excerpt

Do you want to renovate or convert a former farmhouse in Brandenburg? Then you've come to the right place, because the Baukultur village app offers regional examples of facades, windows, doors, roofs and enclosures. This allows you to virtually redesign your house facade so that the house fits well into the townscape with a beautiful facade. It is the former farmhouses from the late 19th and early 20th centuries for which the app offers concrete design suggestions. The Baukultur village app is a large virtual experimental animal box for trying out typical regional building elements for your house. You project the results of your redesign directly onto your house facade and with the help of augmented reality you can view the newly designed facade directly on site. If that doesn't awaken in you as future builders a desire for good building and design in the countryside?!! The app does not replace planning by architects - on the contrary, it is intended to encourage you to seek competent professional support for a renovation/construction project. The village app's virtual design aid offers libraries with design examples for facades, doors, windows, roofs and fencing for six regions of Brandenburg. These are suggestions for a careful renovation of old farmhouses, appropriate to the house and the respective region. The Baukultur village app is particularly suitable for remodeled houses from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, where the original farmhouse can no longer be seen. Six regions in Brandenburg – six different construction methods The reasons for the regional differences in house and farm shapes in the Brandenburg villages are, on the one hand, the different landscape areas and the regional availability of building materials as natural conditions and, on the other hand, the historical context, starting with the origins of the respective village up to its development in the 19th century. Examples of this are farming villages with large farms in Fläming and Lower Lusatia, former estate villages with terraced houses for estate workers in the Uckermark, planned colonist villages in the Schorfheide and the Oderbruch or individual farms in the scattered settlements of the Spreewald. The shapes of the villages are diverse and features of neighboring regions can also mix. The regionally typical construction methods found range from solid buildings made of field stones, plastered bricks with and without stucco, exposed masonry made of clinker bricks and bricks, to half-timbered buildings with infills made of plastered or exposed brickwork, to buildings made entirely of wood in the case of log houses. You can expect typical regional design examples for the following six regions: the Uckermark, the Schorfheide, the Fläming, the Spreewald, the Oderbruch and the Lower Lusatia. Find your location on the Brandenburg map and click on the region in which your house is located: This will take you to the region that is right for you and you can use the libr
