Store description excerpt

Dog Breed Identifier turns your phone into a pocket breed expert. Point the camera at any dog and get a straight answer in seconds. WHAT ONE PHOTO GIVES YOU - The breed name, and how confident the match is - Breed-average lifespan, shown as a range, on every result - The group it belongs to: Working, Sporting, Toy, Herding, Hound, Terrier - Where the breed was developed, and typical adult height and weight - Temperament words, energy level, shedding level and how trainable it is - Whether the breed is usually considered hypoallergenic, and which homes it suits BUILT FOR MIXED BREEDS AND RESCUES Most dogs are not textbook examples of anything. Shelter dogs, backyard crosses, doodles and street rescues all work. When a dog is clearly a mix, the result says so and lists the parent breeds it most resembles, in order of likelihood. When a photo is not good enough to be sure, it says that instead of inventing a breed. HOW LONG DOES THIS BREED LIVE? That number leads every result, because it is what people actually want to know once they have the name. A Great Dane and a Chihuahua are both dogs and they are not remotely the same commitment: one typically lives around 8 to 10 years, the other around 14 to 16. You see the range before anything else. It is a breed average, not a reading of the dog in the photo. THE TRAITS THAT DECIDE WHETHER IT FITS Two dogs that look almost the same can be right and wrong for the same home. Energy level matters if you work long days. Shedding matters if you would rather not vacuum daily. Trainability matters if this is your first dog. Size matters if you are in an apartment. Every result tells you where the breed sits on all four. TELL THE LOOKALIKES APART Belgian Malinois or German Shepherd. Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky. Whippet or Italian Greyhound. Each result points at the features that actually separate them: head shape, ear set, coat type, tail carriage and build. Where two breeds genuinely cannot be told apart from one photo, it says so rather than picking one. ASK ANYTHING Every scan opens a thread with an AI that stays on dogs. Ask which breeds suit an apartment, how much exercise a herding breed really needs, why a double coat blows twice a year, or what a breed group actually means. Health questions go to your vet, and the assistant will tell you so. EVERY DOG YOU MEET, KEPT Every scan saves automatically with its photo, so the dogs you meet at the park turn into a collection you can look back through. Nothing to type in, nothing to file. WHO IT IS FOR - Rescue and shelter owners who want to know what is in their dog - Anyone who saw a dog on a walk and wants the name - People choosing a breed and comparing energy, shedding and size - Puppy buyers who want a second look at what they were told - Kids, students and anyone who just likes dogs HONEST ABOUT WHAT A PHOTO CAN DO Breed identification from a photograph is a best guess from appearance. It works from what the dog looks like, so a mix comes
