Store description excerpt

What breed is my dog? Point the camera at any dog and get an answer in seconds: the breed name, how confident the match is, and how long dogs of that breed usually live. Dog Breed Identifier is a photo dog breed scanner for purebreds, mixed breeds, rescue dogs and puppies. Take a picture, or identify a dog from a photo already in your gallery. WHAT ONE PHOTO GIVES YOU - The breed name, and how confident the match is - Breed-average lifespan, shown as a range, on every result - The breed group: Working, Sporting, Toy, Herding, Hound, Terrier - Country of origin, and typical adult height and weight - Temperament, energy level, shedding, trainability, hypoallergenic status - Which households the breed usually suits BUILT FOR MIXED BREEDS AND RESCUES Most dogs are not textbook examples of anything. Shelter dogs, backyard crosses, doodles and street puppies all work here. Every result shows whether the dog looks purebred or mixed, and a mix is answered with the parent breeds it most resembles. When a photo is not good enough to be sure, it says so instead of inventing a breed. HOW LONG DOES THIS BREED LIVE? The breed-average lifespan leads every result, because it is what people want to know once they have the name. A Great Dane and a Chihuahua are both dogs and not the same commitment: one typically lives around 8 to 10 years, the other around 14 to 16. It is a breed average, not a reading of the dog in the photo. DOG BREEDS IT KNOWS Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, French Bulldog, Poodle, Beagle, Dachshund, Corgi, Chihuahua, Siberian Husky, Border Collie, Rottweiler, Boxer, Shiba Inu, Australian Shepherd, Great Dane, Pomeranian, Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu, and doodle crosses such as the Labradoodle and Cockapoo. THE TRAITS THAT DECIDE WHETHER IT FITS Two dogs that look alike can be right and wrong for the same home. Energy level, shedding, trainability and adult size are on every result, so you can see whether the breed suits an apartment, a first dog or long working days. TELL THE LOOKALIKES APART Belgian Malinois or German Shepherd. Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky. Whippet or Italian Greyhound. Each result points at what separates them: head shape, ear set, coat type and build. Where one photo cannot honestly separate two breeds, it says so. ASK ANYTHING ABOUT DOGS Every scan opens a chat thread with an AI that stays on dogs. Ask which breeds suit an apartment, how much exercise a herding breed needs, or why a double coat sheds twice a year. Health questions go to your vet, and the assistant says so. EVERY DOG YOU MEET, KEPT Every scan saves with its photo, so the dogs you meet become a collection you can browse. WHO IT IS FOR - Rescue and shelter owners who want to know what is in their dog - Anyone who saw a dog on a walk and wants to know what dog it is - People choosing a breed and comparing energy, shedding and size - Puppy buyers who want a second look at what a seller said - Kids, students and anyone who
