In addition, the Department oversees various export promotion bodies, commodity boards, and trade development institutions that support sector-specific export growth and market development. By promoting international trade, facilitating policy reforms, and supporting exporters, the Department of Commerce contributes significantly to India’s economic growth, employment generation, and integration with the global economy.
