DMX DIP - DipTally is an offline DIP switch calculator built for lighting technicians, installers, and anyone learning DMX. Enter a DMX start address to immediately see which DIP switches should be ON. Each switch clearly shows its number, binary value, and ON direction, with a text summary for fast on-site checks. Key features: • DMX address to DIP switches Enter an address and instantly generate the correct switch combination. • DIP switches to DMX address Tap the switches to calculate the corresponding DMX address. • Multiple fixture layouts Supports 8-, 9-, and 10-switch layouts, including switch 10 fixed ON/OFF, all address switches OFF meaning address 1, and switch 10 as value 512. • Fixture-safe address check Enter the number of DMX channels used by a fixture to calculate the highest safe start address and receive a warning when the address may exceed it. • Custom address stepping Move quickly between start addresses based on a fixture's channel count. • Match the physical switch direction Mirror left to right or flip vertically to match DIP panels installed in different orientations. • Built for the field Large address display, high-contrast interface, Dark Mode, and an on-site flashlight on supported devices. • Core calculations work offline No fixture connection or network is required. The app remembers the last address, profile, step, and display orientation. The free version provides unlimited use of the standard 9-switch “address to DIP” calculator. DMX DIP Pro is available through in-app purchase and unlocks reverse calculation, all switch profiles, custom stepping, mirror and flip, and fixture-safe address checks. Important: This app only calculates DMX addresses and DIP switch settings. It does not transmit DMX, Art-Net, or sACN signals and does not connect to or control fixtures.
