Store description excerpt
Digital Kitchen puts your recipe book, prep lists and date labels on the iPad at the station. Kitchens run on paper binders that go missing, get greasy, and fall out of date the moment a recipe changes. Digital Kitchen replaces them. Every recipe your restaurant uses is on the iPad, current, searchable, and organized the way your kitchen actually works. RECIPES AT THE STATION Browse prep recipes, plating specs and cocktails by category or station. Search by name. Open any recipe to its full spec sheet — yields, ingredients, procedure, allergens and shelf life — sized to read from arm's length on a mounted iPad. Spanish procedures are one tap away for kitchens that need them. DATE LABELS THAT PRINT Print prep labels to a Wi-Fi thermal label printer: item, prep chef, prep date, expiration and kill day, in a consistent format across every location. Print blank custom labels for anything that doesn't have a recipe. Every confirmed print is logged, so managers can see what was actually made and when. KITCHEN TIMERS Start a timer from any recipe and it takes that recipe's name. Run several at once — the way a real kitchen does — and see them all on one page. When one finishes it says which item is done, and keeps sounding until someone clears it. Need longer? Add time and restart it without leaving the screen. PREP LISTS Chefs see the items assigned to them for the day, filtered into the same view everyone else uses. Managers see what got done. BUILT FOR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS Recipes are shared across a group or scoped to a single restaurant. Each location carries its own name, logo and color, so staff always know which kitchen's book they're looking at. Administrators can move between locations from one login. RECIPE UPDATES THAT GET SEEN When a recipe changes, the kitchen is notified on the iPad and has to acknowledge it — so a spec change doesn't quietly live on in someone's memory. ACCOUNTS Digital Kitchen is sold to restaurant organizations. Accounts are provisioned by us or by your restaurant's administrator; there is no sign-up in the app and no in-app purchase. Label printing requires a compatible Wi-Fi thermal label printer on the venue's network — every other feature works without one. Questions: rick@digitalkitchensystems.com
