Store description excerpt

Logbook holds the two halves of everyday money in one quiet place: what you spend, and what you and one other person owe each other. MONEY IN, MONEY OUT Add an entry in a few taps and give it a category. Logbook adds up the day, the week and the month, so "where did it go" has an answer you can read in a few seconds. No dashboard to decode. Just the numbers you put in, sorted the way you would sort them on paper. A LEDGER YOU SHARE This is the part most trackers leave out. Open an account for a person and keep the running total there: - a shop tab, and what is still outstanding on it - money you covered for a friend, and how much has come back - rent, bills and the weekly shop split with a flatmate - the float in a small business, in and out each day Every entry lands in one running balance, so nobody has to remember who paid last. When it is settled, it reads zero. NOTES, KEPT NEXT TO THE MONEY Written notes sit in the app beside the entries they belong to: what you agreed, the meter reading, the thing you will have forgotten by Friday. Any note can be locked. SET UP THE WAY YOU WORK - 136 currencies. You choose yours; nothing is guessed from the language you read in. - Ten languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Bengali, Nepali, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic. - Categories you can rename to match how you actually think about money. - Day, week and month views. - Import a CSV to bring your history in. Export a CSV to take everything out again. YOURS, AND KEPT THAT WAY Entries are stored on your device. Cloud sync is optional: turn it on when you want a shared account to reach the other person, leave it off and everything stays local. Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode can lock the app, and notes can be locked separately. WHAT LOGBOOK DOES NOT DO Worth saying plainly, so nothing here is a surprise: - It does not connect to your bank and never asks for banking credentials. - It does not move, hold, send or receive money. It is a record, not a wallet. - No lending, no credit, no investing, no financial advice. - No receipt scanning, and no predictions about your future spending. You type your own numbers. That is the whole idea, and it is why the app stays quick and stays private. Logbook is for the shop owner with a book behind the counter, the two flatmates who stopped keeping score in their heads, the person who just wants to know where the month went. If that is you, it should feel familiar within a minute.
