Diadic Research – Companion App to the Scientific Study on Couples Diadic Research is the companion app to a scientific study on communication and emotional perception in couple relationships. Participation is exclusively within the framework of this study and only possible with a personal study invitation. What the App Offers Encrypted Two-Person Chat – You communicate with your partner via end-to-end encrypted messages based on the Matrix protocol. Each room is designed for exactly two people. Emotional Expression – Using a grid of 28 emotions, you express how you are currently feeling. Empathy Exercises – In short, playful exercises, both partners assess each other's feelings. Guided 7-Day Quest – A guided study quest, spanning seven days, accompanies you through the study with dialogues, decisions, and exercises. Who Provides the App The app is published by equalia GmbH. The study itself is conducted and scientifically overseen by the university and the research team. Use only with study access A preliminary questionnaire is required before first use; the app will only proceed after its completion. The app cannot be used without a study invitation and the associated study access data.
