Assignment Coach Understand what an assignment is really asking. Dexter reviews the assignment brief and relevant course materials to help you identify the objective, requirements, grading expectations, deliverables, and submission instructions allowing you to work on the assignment with all the support you need. Everything in One Place Search across assignments, quizzes, due dates, announcements, and course materials from Canvas without jumping between different screens. Chat With Classmates Working on a group project? Create a private chat workspace for your group and collaborate without sharing your personal phone number or contact information. HOW IT WORKS Dexter connects to Canvas only with your permission and accesses your connected course information. Dexter is read-only: it cannot submit assignments, change grades, or post to Canvas on your behalf. You can disconnect Canvas at any time and delete your Dexter account and associated data from inside the app. When answering course-specific questions, Dexter grounds its responses in your course materials and lets you know when it cannot find enough information rather than simply guessing. WHAT YOU NEED You need a student account at a university that uses Canvas. Your university must also allow Dexter to connect to its Canvas environment.
