Store description excerpt

WHAT DOES THAT SOUND LIKE BACKWARDS? For about thirty years people were convinced that rock and metal records had messages hidden inside them. Play the album in reverse and the devil speaks. It was nonsense, but it was very fun. Devils Turntable is a pocket-sized backmasking machine. Load a sound, hit SATANIZE, and hear it play in reverse while fire and smoke crawl up the face of the deck. HOW IT WORKS Record straight into the app with your microphone. Or import an audio file. Or drop in a video and the app pulls the audio right out of it. Then flip it. The record slows to a dead halt like you dragged your hand across the platter, then spins back up the other way. THE CONTROLS - SATANIZE — flips playback backward, then forward again - SPEED — bends pitch exactly like a real turntable. Slow it to a crawl or run it fast and chipmunked. - FIRE and SMOKE — two knobs that crank the atmosphere on the deck itself WHAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE IT FOR - Settling arguments. "That melody is just Happy Birthday backwards." Prove it in ten seconds. - Learning to speak backwards, which is a genuinely useful and genuinely stupid party skill. - Guitarists checking a reversed solo before they commit it to tape. - Testing your own voice memos for accidental demonic content. - Being the person at the party who says "wait — listen to this." HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT ISN'T This is a listening tool. It plays audio backwards. It does not export, edit, or save reversed files. If you need a reversed stem for a track, open your DAW like an adult. Devils Turntable is for checking, learning, and goofing off, and it does that faster than anything else on your phone. PRIVACY Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, no data collection of any kind. Your recordings are yours and they stay on your device. No actual demons or poltergeists were summoned during the making of this app.
