Store description excerpt

Most time tracking fails for the same reason: logging the time is more work than doing the work. Dev Time is built to disappear. Add a task, tap start, tap stop. That's the whole habit. Then, when your timecard is due or standup is in three minutes, the app has already done the remembering for you. ONE TIMER, ALWAYS HONEST Only one task runs at a time — starting a new one stops the last, so your day adds up correctly instead of double-counting. The running timer appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so it's never quietly running in the background at 2am. If it does run unusually long, Dev Time tells you before it reaches a report. BUILT FOR HOW DEVELOPERS ACTUALLY WORK - Attach a ticket number to any task (PROJ-123) and search by it later - Set a time budget and watch spent-vs-estimate fill in as you work - See how good your estimates really were once a task is done - Priorities, colors, and notes to keep a long list navigable - Forgot to start the timer? Add or edit any time entry by hand REPORTS THAT MATCH YOUR TIMECARD Break your time down by day, week, month, or a custom range, with a per-task total for each. Turn on sprint tracking and set your cadence — any length, any start day — and you get a Sprint range that lines up with your team's, plus the planning gap between sprints. Timecards rarely want raw seconds, so Dev Time can round each task's total to whatever block your employer uses, from 5 minutes to an hour. Rounded and actual figures are shown side by side, and nothing is changed on disk — your real time is always stored to the second. When you need it elsewhere, export the whole period as CSV. STANDUP, WRITTEN FOR YOU Generate a plain-text summary of what you worked on and for how long, ready to paste into Slack or read off your phone. It's built from the time you already tracked, so it's accurate rather than remembered. MAKE IT YOURS Ten color themes from soft cream and linen to slate and indigo, each with a proper light and dark mode. Pick a clock face and a typeface to go with it — monospaced, rounded, serif, or plain — and the whole app follows. YOUR TIME STAYS YOURS No account. No sign-up. No sync. Everything lives on your device, and nothing about your tasks or tracked time leaves it. Dev Time works exactly the same on a plane as it does at your desk. HONEST ABOUT THE COST Dev Time is free, with no subscription and nothing locked behind a purchase. A small banner ad at the bottom of the screen covers the cost of keeping it on the App Store. If you'd rather support it directly, there's a donation link in Settings — it's entirely optional and doesn't unlock features or remove the banner.
