Store description excerpt
Someone once wrote their week on a desk in permanent marker. Not to plan it — a calendar does that — but so it was always there, unchanging, theirs. That's Desk. One grid. Seven columns, one per day. A row for each part of the day, at the times your day actually breaks at. You fill it in once, and it is the same week every week: Wednesday at 4 is Physics because Wednesday at 4 is always Physics. Nothing to re-enter on Sunday night. Nothing to catch up on. THE GRID • Seven days across, four to twenty rows down, at times you set • A line marks now, so you can see where you are without reading a word • Tap a cell to fill it, tap and hold to drag an activity to another slot • Below the grid: what's on now, what's next, and how much of the week is done START WITH SOMETHING ON IT Five starting points, each arriving already filled in — Student, Gym, Work, Language, or Blank if you'd rather build it yourself. Rename anything, retime anything, change your mind later. FOCUS SESSIONS Every activity carries its own timer — work minutes, break minutes, and how many cycles, set once per subject rather than every time you sit down. Start one from the home screen without leaving the grid. It runs on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, chimes at the end of each cycle, and can mark the block done when it finishes. REMINDERS, IN THREE STRENGTHS Per block, not per app. Silent for the things you'll remember anyway. Notify for the rest. Alarm for the one class you cannot miss — a real alarm that breaks through silent mode and Focus. Set the lead time to on the hour, five minutes early, or fifteen. NOTES WHERE THEY BELONG A line of your own on any cell. "Ch. 4–6." "Bring the graph paper." It stays with the block and comes back every week, because it's true every week. WIDGETS Your week on the Home Screen in small, medium, or large. SIX PALETTES Paper, Sage, Chalk, Ink, Riso, and Terminal — each one a full set of colours and its own pair of typefaces, from a serif on warm paper to green monospace on black. There's also a pattern option that gives every colour its own texture, so the grid stays readable without relying on hue. BUILT TO BE USABLE Full VoiceOver labels that say where a cell is and what state it's in, Dynamic Type throughout, and reduced-motion support. Every palette is contrast-checked. NO ACCOUNT, NO CLOUD There's no sign-up, and nothing leaves your phone. Desk works with no connection at all, because a timetable you wrote yourself has no reason to need one.
