Your imaging centre sends a CBCT and it arrives with a Windows program you cannot run. DentCT Pro opens the study itself — on the Mac, iPad or iPhone you already have. Point it at the folder, the ZIP, the AirDrop or the email attachment. It reads what is actually inside, finds the imaging data, ignores the Windows viewer that came along for the ride, reconstructs the volume, and shows you the study. WORKS THE WAY A CLINIC WORKS • Open from Mail, AirDrop, Files, Finder, iCloud Drive, an external disk or a downloaded ZIP • Completely offline — no account, no sign-in, no server, no upload • Studies stay on your device, protected by iOS file protection • Opens in seconds, even for a 300 MB cone-beam volume SEE THE STUDY PROPERLY • Axial, coronal and sagittal reconstructions from the volume itself, not stored pictures • Oblique planes, and slab projections — average, maximum and minimum intensity • GPU volume rendering with bone, teeth, soft-tissue and high-density presets • MIP and X-ray style projections • A synchronised cursor: move it in one plane and the others follow • Window and level by drag, by numbers or by preset — the stored values are never altered DENTAL RECONSTRUCTIONS • Draw the arch and get a panoramic reconstruction from the volume • Cross-sections perpendicular to the arch, evenly spaced in millimetres • Adjust the curve and everything rebuilds MEASURE IN MILLIMETRES, NOT PIXELS • Distance, path and angle in patient space • Density statistics over a spherical region • Implant markers with diameter and length, and the distance from the apex to a canal you have traced • FDI tooth annotation • Measurements survive zooming, panning and switching planes, because they live in patient coordinates BUILT FOR EACH PLATFORM • Mac: sidebar, inspector, keyboard shortcuts, scroll to change slice, drag a folder onto the window • iPad: multi-panel workspace, Apple Pencil for arch, canal tracing and measurement, external keyboard and trackpad • iPhone: one viewport, a plane switcher, gestures — the whole study in your pocket FORMATS • DICOM, including files with no .dcm extension, implicit and explicit VR, both endiannesses, deflated data sets, RLE, JPEG and JPEG 2000 • J. Morita i-Dixel exports, including the volume file the Windows viewer reads • ZIP archives and nested folders • When something cannot be decoded, it tells you exactly what and what to ask for — never "cannot open file" HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS Slice order comes from the study's own geometry, never from file names. A study whose geometry cannot be validated is refused rather than guessed at. Cone-beam grey values are shown in manufacturer units unless the study declares a calibrated Hounsfield conversion. Where a manufacturer's export does not record which side is the patient's left, the app says so and asks you to confirm. One purchase covers Mac, iPad and iPhone.
