Dementia clock can be personalized by adding patient's name and those who live with them. Reminding the names of the loved ones and relationship passively and constantly through the clock can help Dementia patients remembering family members. Dementia clock calls out their name in every screen along with their caregivers name. For example, “Hello Dad, This is Megan. It is Sunday Morning 10:08 AM” rather than simply showing clock. Screen 2: Dementia Clock Personalized Reminder: All of the Personalized Dementia clock plus reminders for a one-a-day event, a thrice a day event, and a one time event. Thrice a day reminders: For example, seniors need to take medicine 3 times a day - everyday. Once the times are entered, Dementia Clock Personalized Reminder shows a winding down timer for to show how much time is left for the next meal or medicine. The count down timer is unique as the patient doesn’t have to subtract the current time from the activity time. Knowing exactly how many hours left can reduce anxiety. Once the event arrives, it switches to the next event.This can also be personalized by a message. Once a day reminder: Walking or exercise, a favorite TV program, or the caregiver going to pick up groceries or their son/daughter from school. Dementia Clock Personalized Reminder again shows a countdown timer showing time left for the event (as opposed to the time of the event). If the care givers goes to pick up their kid routinely, personalized message is “Hi Mom, I’ll pick up my son and be back in xx:yy hrs”. This is every day event - once set, it repeats every 24 hours. When the event time comes, It automatically switches to the time left for the same event next day. Such personalized Dementia clock message passively reminds them of their kids and grandkids too. One time event reminder: Future visits from kids (or Grandkids), appointment with a doctor, number of days to Christmas etc. This winding down clock shows number of days left for the event. It needs to be set every time as it is a one time event. All screens can be personalized. Displaying kids, or grandkids name through personalized screen helps reminding the patients they have that relationship and remember their names as well. Navigator (screen 3): Wandering is a well known symptom for dementia patients, when the loved one forgets the way to their house.
