Store description excerpt
Some mornings the daycare run is yours. Some mornings it belongs to the other parent, or a grandparent, or the nanny. By 8:30 everyone is somewhere else, and one small question is still open: did she get there? Daycare Guardian answers it without anyone having to ask. Whoever does the run taps DROP OFF and picks the place from your family's saved list. Everyone else gets a notification — who dropped off, where, and the exact time. Pick-up works the same way, minus the picker: a child can only be collected from where they were left. That is the whole daily interaction. Two taps, twice a day. WHEN THE NOTIFICATION DOESN'T ARRIVE The part that makes this app different is the message nobody has to send. Give each child an expected drop-off time, the weekdays they attend, and a grace period. If no one in the family has logged a drop-off by then, everyone gets a time-sensitive alert — the kind that comes through even when a phone is on Focus or Do Not Disturb. It isn't an accusation. Mornings run long, plans change, and nobody thinks to mention it. Most of the time the alert just means someone forgot to tap. But it turns a silence into a question, and a question is easy to answer: one text, one call, and you know. You set the time, the days, and how much grace to allow — from none up to four hours, twenty minutes by default. You can switch it off for a child entirely, and it fires once per child per day, so a hectic morning never becomes a pile of alerts. ONE RECORD THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN SEE Every drop-off and pick-up is filed by day: who, where, to the minute. Anyone can add a note to a day — "new teacher in the toddler room" — and it is signed with their name. Past days that should have had a drop-off and didn't are flagged, so nothing quietly disappears. EVERYONE WHO SHARES THE MORNING One person creates the family and shares a six-character code. Anyone you give it to can join: both parents, a stepparent, grandparents, the nanny, the sitter who covers Thursdays. No member limit — everyone sees everything and gets every notification. The owner can issue a fresh code any time. EMERGENCY CONTACTS, ONE TAP AWAY The pediatrician, the grandparent ten minutes away, the neighbor with a key. Name, relationship, phone and notes, reachable from the home screen and dialed with a tap. TEXT MESSAGES, ONLY IF YOU ASK Push notifications are the default and work on their own. Anyone who would also like a text can turn that on for themselves and add a number. Off unless you choose it, and per person. WHY THE RECORD IS WORTH TRUSTING • The time comes from the server, never from a phone. A drop-off cannot be backdated. • The log is append-only. Entries cannot be edited or deleted afterwards by anyone in the family, including whoever created it. • No location tracking. No GPS, no background location, ever. "Locations" are simply names and addresses your family typed in. • No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers of any kind. • Your family's records are visi
