What is Dark Country? Dark Country is a free-to-play NFT TCG in the American gothic setting. In the game you: Pick one of four factions Build your deck of cards with creatures, spells, and items and are pitted against another player online to defeat. You win when you reduce your opponent’s health to zero! Factions are following: Resolute Rangers: A combination of cowboys, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, and lawmen, the Resolute Rangers are adept at planning. They are well-balanced in all kinds of physical combat, including siege and close combat. They have no magical abilities but do have adept doctors to help heal. Destructive Horde: The Destructive Horde is a mix of undead and unforgotten evils that tribes had subdued centuries ago. Now free, they have a mix of unholy magics and forgotten fighting tactics that are difficult to combat. Their inhuman strength is countered by how susceptible they are to natural magic. Cunning Crusaders: The Cunning Crusaders are a loose alliance of opportunistic criminals who saw a chance of gaining from the catastrophe of the risen undead. With all of the artifacts and creatures that are now known to be there, the group has a lot of which they can make their fortune. They are stronger in the shadows and adept at fighting alone or when put into a tight corner. Ancestral Guard: The Ancestral Guard includes both tribal warriors and the mythical creatures that they once hunted. With a deep connection to nature, they can manipulate the elements to gain the upper hand and be adept at close combat. Cards abilities. Also, the majority of cards have some additional abilities (Keywords) described in the card text box. Fortify. Enemies must attack and destroy creatures with Fortify before creatures without it. Stealth. Creatures with Stealth can’t be targeted by other creatures or target spells. Root. Rooted creatures skip their next attack. Onslaught. After the creature is attacked and killed, all extra damage dealt is inflicted on enemy hero. Spell immunity. The creature with spell immunity can’t be targeted by spells. Can still be damaged by AOE spells. Guardian. Guardian absorbs the first attack on the creature, after that it is destroyed. Mute. Muting a creature destroys its items, stat modifiers, and keywords. Deploy. When cards with deploy are played bonus effect is triggered. Last Word. When creatures with Last Word die, a bonus effect is triggered. Frenzy. Creatures with Frenzy can attack right after they are played. Inspire. When a card with Inspire is played, the totem is created on the table. If the totem is already in play it upgrades by one level. Bloodsteal. Creatures with blood steal will heal your hero after dealing damage to enemy creatures or enemy hero. Regeneration. Creatures with regeneration will heal to their max hp at the start of your turn. Tournaments: Players compete in weekly tournaments to boost their rank in the season leaderboard.
