Dance Formations: Reblock is a dance formation planner for adult choreographers and dance captains who need to repair cast changes without losing the original stage blocking. Build a reusable routine master, make a performance-specific repair, and give each performer a clear rehearsal update from the same saved version. PLAN DANCE FORMATIONS AROUND REAL ROLES Create performers and choreography roles as separate parts of the routine. A performer can cover a role without changing what the choreography requires, so the master remains useful when casting changes again. Give performers quick aliases, assign roles, add formations, and keep the planned sequence organized for rehearsal. BUILD AN INTENTIONAL STAGE PICTURE Place performer marks on a clear 2D stage for each formation. Start with practical line, row, and circle layouts, then move individual marks into the positions your routine needs. Duplicate a formation to preserve a useful count, rename it for the musical or rehearsal moment, and adjust the copy instead of rebuilding the whole stage picture. Stage orientation stays visible while you work. KEEP IMPORTANT MARKS STEADY Lock anchor positions that should not move during an adjustment. Select a line of performers, preview a coordinated move, and accept the change only when it fits the intended formation. Use the complete stage view to review the whole cast rather than judging one changed mark in isolation.
