Cybertot Kids is the child companion app for Cybertot. A parent installs it on their child's device and links it to their own Cybertot parent app. The parent can then set app rules, screen time limits and web filtering, and see how the device is being used. This app has no standalone features. It must be paired with a Cybertot parent account. IMPORTANT — THIS IS A MONITORING APP Cybertot Kids is a parental monitoring application. It is intended to be installed by a parent or legal guardian on a device used by their own child, and it continuously reports device activity to the linked parent account. • It must not be installed on anyone else's device, including a partner's or an employee's. • Monitoring is never hidden. The app keeps its own icon and shows a permanent notification whenever monitoring is active. • Before anything is collected, the app shows the person using the device exactly what is collected and why, and asks them to accept. WHAT PARENTS CAN DO • Block and unblock apps on the child's device, instantly • Set daily screen time limits, overall and per app • Filter unsafe, adult and phishing websites • See screen time and app usage reports • See websites visited and YouTube activity • See the device's live location • Get an alert when a new contact is added • Get an alert when an app is installed or removed • Protect the setup so a child cannot quietly remove it ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE Cybertot Kids uses Android's Accessibility Service. This is essential to how the app works, and it is not used for any other purpose. The service reads on-screen content in order to: • detect which app is currently in the foreground, so an app the parent has restricted can be closed and screen time limits can be enforced • read website addresses in browsers, so unsafe sites can be blocked • identify YouTube video titles, channel names and search terms, for the activity report shown to the parent The data collected through this service — app names and time spent in each app, website addresses, and YouTube titles, channels and searches — is sent only to the linked parent account. It is never sold and never shared with any third party. Before the service is requested, the app displays a disclosure listing exactly this, and consent is required. If it is declined, setup continues without the service and nothing is collected through it. Cybertot Kids is not an accessibility tool and is not declared as one. VPN SERVICE Cybertot Kids uses Android's VpnService to filter web traffic on the device. It is used only to block unsafe, adult and phishing websites according to the rules the parent has set. • All traffic between the device and the VPN endpoint is encrypted. • The VPN is not used to inject, block or modify advertising. • Traffic is not redirected through other countries, and is never resold or monetised.
