Identify clouds with just a click. When you look up and see a cloud, you might wonder: what kind of cloud is it, why does it have this shape, and what kind of weather is it often associated with? CWC CLens aims to make these questions about the sky easier to answer, and to bring cloud knowledge beyond illustrations and terminology into real-world sky observations. Simply take a picture of the sky, or select a photo from your album and crop it as needed, and you can identify the clouds within it. The core recognition covers ten basic cloud genera, as well as two types of sky scenes: contrails and clear skies, resulting in 12 categories of results. After identification, you can see the main results and confidence levels, quickly understanding what kind of cloud might be in front of you. Real clouds don't always have the clear, fixed shape of images. They change constantly with their development stage, lighting, and viewing angle, and different cloud types can be very similar. In cases where differentiation is difficult, CLens will simultaneously provide other possible candidate results and reliability hints, letting you know what else is possible and allowing you to make a further judgment based on your actual observation of the sky. Recognizing what a cloud is is just the beginning of understanding it. Continuing to view cloud type details from the identification results, you can learn about its typical appearance, common altitude, scientific definition, and formation principles. You can also see which features are noteworthy, how to distinguish it from easily confused cloud types, and what weather phenomena it is usually associated with. Information such as the Chinese name, Latin scientific name, and international abbreviations are also provided. CLens aims to transform "What kind of cloud could this be?" into "Why can we make this judgment?", making a photo identification a starting point for further observation and understanding of the sky. Beyond photo cloud identification, CWC CLens also provides a cloud observation reference guide, a cloud genus encyclopedia, comparisons of easily confused cloud types, sky morphology knowledge, and quizzes. You can make judgments step by step based on clues such as the actual altitude, shape, and structure you see, or compare similar clouds to understand their truly noteworthy differences. As you gradually accumulate observation and learning, the next time you see a similar sky, you may be able to make your own judgment first, and then use CLens to verify and further understand. We hope that CLens is not just about identifying a cloud for you, but about making it easier to start recognizing, understanding, and observing clouds, and easier to continue.
