Custodis locally hides names, SSNs, account numbers, addresses and other protected values before optional AI use. Built-in Ask AI transmits limited, reviewed content through Custodis Relay to the provider you select: OpenAI, L.L.C. or Anthropic PBC. WHAT CUSTODIS MAY SEND — ONLY TO A PROVIDER YOU TURN ON • Your question and recent user messages, exactly as written. • The exact protected document text you reviewed, with hidden values replaced by randomized tokens. • Recent AI answers needed for the same conversation, with tokens preserved. • Instructions needed to answer and the selected provider and model. • Any exact value you deliberately choose to show and separately confirm. YOUR SENSITIVE DATA — STAYS ON THIS DEVICE Custodis does not transmit the original document, token restoration map, hidden protected values, or document layout or coordinates through Custodis Relay or to OpenAI or Anthropic. Your Custodis account email is not included in AI request content or sent to OpenAI or Anthropic. Before the provider controls, Custodis names OpenAI, L.L.C. and Anthropic PBC, shows these same categories and the purpose, and starts both provider choices off. Ask AI remains disabled until you turn on a named provider. Turning one on sends nothing; Custodis sends only when you later tap Send in Ask AI. Only enabled providers appear in Ask AI, and you can turn either one off at any time. A different provider needs its own affirmative choice. Showing an exact protected value requires separate confirmation. Custodis does not sell this content or share it for advertising or profiling. DigiScan LLC does not authorize either provider to use Custodis API content for general model training. Provider retention periods and exceptions are detailed in the Privacy Policy. HOW IT WORKS • Scan or import — capture a page with the camera, or open a PDF or photo. • Redact on your device — Custodis finds the private values and hides them. You see exactly what's covered and approve it before anything moves. • Choose an optional AI path — Free can copy reviewed protected text to the device clipboard; Custodis contacts no provider for that workflow. Personal and Pro include built-in Ask AI through OpenAI or Anthropic. • Restore locally — the real values come back on your device, never in the cloud. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • The original document and recovery data remain on the device. • The exact outbound protected document text is shown before AI use. • The selected third-party AI company is named before permission. • Re-identification happens only on your device. FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION ACCESS • Free — two successful on-device document redactions total, without sign-in or a payment method. Failed or abandoned attempts do not count. A multi-page PDF or one scanned document counts as one document. Protected clipboard copy remains available; Free does not include built-in OpenAI or Anthropic requests. • Personal — ongoing on-device redaction, tax-document-aware
