Store description excerpt
Watching curling on TV, it looks deceptively simple — just slide a stone down the ice. But in reality, you're launching a 20 kg granite stone down 42 meters of ice, frantically scrubbing with a broom, and trying to land within centimeters of your target. This app lets you experience that feeling on your smartphone. *Delivery (Throwing) Grab the stone-shaped button at the bottom of the screen and swipe upward. How fast you drag determines the weight of your throw; how far left or right you drift adds rotation (curl). A slow drag gives a heavy, deep-running stone; a quick flick sends it flying. Getting the balance right is harder than it looks. *Sweeping After releasing, the view shifts to a top-down perspective following the stone. Rub your finger quickly along its path to reduce friction and help it travel further. Leave it alone and it will curl and slow naturally. The question — "do I sweep or not?" — becomes surprisingly tense in the moment. *Four Camera Views - Throw: First-person delivery view. Aim at the brush held by your skip - Top: Overhead tracking camera. This is where you sweep - Skip: Watch the stone approach from the house end - House: Bird's-eye view of the house to see which stones are scoring *Physics Simulation Built to WCF (World Curling Federation) official dimensions, the simulation models stone mass, ice friction, curl drift, and rotational decay. Every throw plays out differently depending on your delivery and how much you sweep.
