Store description excerpt
Curious Life turns your attention into something you can see and hear. The app runs a live measurement — a stream of random events generated on your device, in the lineage of the Princeton PEAR laboratory experiments — and draws it as living exercises. A century-old scientific question, whether mind can lean on matter, becomes something you practice. And record. THE EXERCISES • Star Trip — a star crosses deep space at the altitude of your intention. Catch the golden rings; see how high your attention carries it. • Mental Music — notes rise from the live measurement as you listen. Your calm is the composer. • The Orchestra — bass, strings, wind, bells, drums. Choose your instrument, or take them all. • Chaos vs Coherence — two thoughtforms, one of noise and one of order. Feel the difference between them. • A Sitting — a measured meditation. An orchestra rises from silence as you settle. • Echo — open a picture and hear it. Its grain becomes a bed of sound; cracks, dashes, icicles and skylines are read, lit and played, on your device. • And more in the exercise library. THE PULSE Link a Polar chest strap, your Apple Watch, or a Muse headband and the app becomes an instrument: your heart's rhythms and coherence live, the brain's field, and music played by the readings themselves. Heart, brain, and the random source record together on one clock — through a locked screen and on every page — so each exercise sits precisely inside your record. Export it all as open files whenever you like. SOUND THAT FOLLOWS YOU Every sound is synthesized live from the measurement — there are no recordings. The music keeps playing with the screen locked, and it stays honest: it rides the real measurement, or it stays silent. YOUR RECORD Every session accumulates in your personal record: your sessions, your deviations, your peaks, placed against the whole field of practitioners. No account is needed to practice and keep your record on this device; sign in with your email to carry it across devices. NOTHING WATCHES YOU No microphone, no motion sensors. The camera and photo library are asked for only when you open a picture in Echo; Bluetooth and Health only when you choose to connect a device. What they read stays on your phone — pictures, heart and brain data are never uploaded. It is an instrument, and an open experiment: whatever the data shows, it shows. Curious Life is an experiment and a practice, not a medical device; it makes no health claims.
