Store description excerpt

**Notice what's nearby** You're in a new city, or just exploring your own neighborhood. You don't have an itinerary, but you also don't want to walk past something interesting. Curio is for that. Open the app and you see a map of your surroundings. Around you: pins for noteworthy places — historic buildings, public art, monuments, viewpoints, parks worth a detour. Tap one and read a short summary. Walk a few blocks and the app updates. Curio pulls from open data sources to surface what's actually noteworthy nearby: • **Wikipedia** — over 6 million articles, ranked by global notability so famous landmarks always surface • **OpenStreetMap** — community-mapped monuments, plaques, statues, viewpoints, trails, hot springs, lighthouses, fountains, bridges • **Wikivoyage** — practical travel-guide listings with opening hours and prices • **National Park Service** — every US national park, monument, historic site Choose what to surface: tap any of three interest categories (Culture, Food & drink, Outdoors) to filter. Switch to Driving mode for rural trips with a larger radius and faster auto-refresh. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. All data sources are open and free. Your location stays on your phone. For the curious. For the wanderers, not the planners. For anyone who'd rather take a five-minute detour than miss a story.
