Cubit Crest is an offline timing practice set inside a quiet temple shaft that behaves like a nilometer. You watch water climb in uneven pulses and try to place a measurement seal at the moment a crest sits inside a narrow glowing band on the staff. The width of that band and the feel of the rise change with the season you choose. Nothing here connects to a network. There are no accounts, no purchases, and no ads. Progress stays on the device you are holding. A session begins on Launch Gauge, then Pulse Primer explains how a crest, a true seal, and a false mark differ. Season Board offers three seasonal modes, each with its own pulse rhythm and cubit band. On Nilometer Run the water does not rise in a smooth line. It surges, hesitates, and sometimes overshoots. Tap while the crest is inside the band and a measurement seal is placed. Tap early or late and a false mark is left on the staff. Three false marks end the run. Water that climbs past the temple step also ends the run as an overflow. Breath Pause lets you stop mid-climb without discarding the current attempt. When the run closes, Crest Verdict shows the streak of true seals and places it next to your best streak for that season. Flood Ledger keeps a dated journal of finished runs: season, streak length, whether the ending was false marks or overflow, and a short line if you wrote one. From a strong result you can open Band Notes and leave a brief remark about timing, pulse feel, or how the band sat on the staff that day. Those notes stay attached to the run and can be read later when you compare quieter days with noisier ones. Best streaks are stored separately for each seasonal mode so a long inundation series is not mixed with a short, tight harvest series. Settings holds only local controls: sound for pulse and seal cues, and a simple reset of stored history if you want a clean ledger. The English interface is laid out for portrait iPhone sizes, with controls kept clear of the home indicator and the safe edges. The whole practice is meant to be used without a signal and without signing in.
