Store description excerpt
Solve any cubic equation in one place. Enter the four coefficients a, b, c, and d for a·x³ + b·x² + c·x + d = 0 and get all roots in a single tap. Why this app Cubics appear everywhere: school and university math, engineering, physics, and data modeling. This app is built for quick checks, homework, and intuition—without hunting for formulas or wrestling with a scientific calculator. Exact math, not guessing Roots are computed with the classical cubic formula (depressed cubic, discriminant cases, Viète’s trigonometric form for three real roots, and Cardano’s method when there is one real and two complex roots). That means closed-form, algebraic results—not an iterative numerical solver that might drift or miss multiplicity. What you get Up to three roots, shown as real numbers or complex numbers (a + bi) when needed. Clear handling of degenerate cases: if the leading coefficient is zero, the app falls back to the quadratic or linear case and tells you what happened. A clean, modern interface that stays out of your way.
