Croupier's Gambit is a roguelike built on European roulette. Every spin is a physics simulation: a ball launched onto a modelled wheel, riding the rim, catching a deflector and dropping where it drops. No pocket in this game comes from a random number generator. THE LADDER Fifty-two opponents, one for every card in the deck. Each holds a contract you have to complete inside a round limit, and each suit asks for something different. First to three red hits. First to 34 total. Beat the four Kings and the Aces open up, each with a rule that rewrites the table. THE EMPORIUM Between matches the croupier sells the things that bend a spin. Nudge the ball one pocket after it settles. Throw it harder and let the deflectors decide. Drop a magnet on red and watch the ball lean. Some cards change the arithmetic and some change the simulation, and the ones that change the simulation happen where you can watch them. It is the deckbuilding heart of the game: the deck you leave with decides the strategy you can play. A RUN A bankroll, a deck and one life. Every round you choose whether to press, and whoever wins a pressed round banks double, so a bad read costs more than a bad spin. Lose a match and the run is over unless you spend that life. ACHIEVEMENTS Thirty achievements through Game Center, and none of them are "open the app". Regicide for your first King. Cheated Death for the Ace of Spades. The House Always Loses for the true ending. Some count progress across every run you ever play, a few are secret, and one asks you to win a whole match without pressing a single round. WHAT IS FREE Ranks 2 and 3 are free on all four suits, with the Emporium open throughout. One payment, made once, opens everything above them, including the Aces and the true ending. There is no subscription and no advertising. NOT A GAMBLING GAME Croupier's Gambit is a fictional strategy card game built around simulated European roulette. It accepts no wagers or deposits and pays out no money or prizes. Nothing in the game is ever wagered. The bankroll is a fictional game value with nothing behind it, spent only in the in-game shop, and nothing can be cashed out. Playing this is no guide to what a real wheel will do. The game carries prominent casino and roulette themes. Parents and guardians should read the store's age rating before handing it to a younger player. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE The whole game installs with the app, so it plays with no connection at all. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
