Store description excerpt

Cricchat is a messaging app for people who would rather not hand over their phone number to start a conversation. When you register, the app gives you a 10-digit private number. That is your identity — there is no phone verification, no SMS code, and no email address. You share your private number only with people you want to talk to, and nobody can find you unless you give it to them. Messages, photos, voice notes and calls are end-to-end encrypted. The keys that unlock them are generated on your device and never sent to our servers, so we cannot read your conversations. Calls connect directly between devices where the network allows it. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Send text, photos, videos, files and voice messages - Make voice and video calls - React to messages and star the ones you want to find again - Set messages to delete themselves after they are read - Delete messages you have already sent - Block or report anyone, and manage blocked contacts in Settings A SECOND PASSWORD FOR EMERGENCIES You set two passwords when you register. One signs you in as normal. The other permanently erases your account, chat history and contacts from your device and from our servers. If you ever need your account gone quickly, you type the second password at the sign-in screen. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT No ads. No trackers. No analytics. We do not sell data, because we do not collect anything worth selling. You do not need a phone number or email to use Cricchat.
