And how would it be like if you could do that using only your phone? You could try using our application that instantly connects you with local producers - no middlemen involved! The application was developed by the Rural Investment Financing Agency - RIFA in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - MARD and provides the opportunity to identify and accurately locate Romanian products that have already been homologated nationaly (traditional products, mountain products, renowned recipe products) and at European level (products with a Protected Designation of Origin - PDO or Protected Geographical Indication - PGI). In the future, the application will allow you, within markets or stores, to scan the QR codes on the product’s label to check the authenticity of the product, making sure that you consume an authentic product rather than a counterfeit one. Features: • Products and manufacturers search by name and certificate number • Manufacturers map with the ability to navigate to a selected manufacturer • Products and manufacturers filtering by: - Certificate type (Traditional Product, Renowned Recipe, PDO, PGI, Mountain Product) - Product category - Manufacturer’s county - Distance (requires location services) • View product and manufacturer details: - Certificate number - Certificate type (Traditional Product, Renowned Recipe, PDO, PGI, Mountain Product) - Point of sale - Product name - Product description - Contact • Product rating (requires login) • Favorite products list (requires login)
