Store description excerpt

Point Coverplay at an album, snap a picture, and it starts playing. WHAT IT HANDLES Coverplay reads all kinds of sleeves: art-only, cursive titles, just the album name, and pressings that were retitled for another country. Point it at a 45 and it plays just that song. WHEN IT IS NOT SURE It says so. A confident read plays straight away. A shaky one shows its best guess and waits for you, instead of playing the wrong record. WORKS WITH APPLE MUSIC With an Apple Music subscription the album plays in full. Without one, you hear the 30-second previews in track order, with the same point-and-play flow. AFTER IT PLAYS Swipe for track controls, a jump into Apple Music, and a link to the album's story — Wikipedia by default, or Discogs, AllMusic or MusicBrainz if you prefer. Every record you match is kept in Music History, so you can play it again from the list. 1 ALBUM = 1 CREDIT Every install comes with free credits. One credit is spent when Coverplay identifies a record it has never seen before. Records already in your Music History cost nothing, forever — so scanning your own shelf is free after the first time. Nothing is charged when the app cannot help you, and if you delete a wrong match the credit comes back. If you run out, more credits can be bought in the app. There is no subscription. PRIVACY No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Coverplay sends the cropped picture of the cover to work out what the record is, and nothing else. It never touches your photo library. Works on iPhone and iPad.
