Cosmic Vortex is a simple yet challenging retro-inspired arcade game. Your objective is to destroy the enemy spaceship positioned at the center of the screen. Protecting it are three rotating shield rings that absorb incoming fire. Sections of these shields can be damaged and broken away, creating openings through which attacks can be launched. However, if an entire shield ring is destroyed, a replacement ring will be generated, restoring the enemy’s defenses. The enemy ship is armed with a powerful cannon capable of firing deadly projectiles toward the player. Its shots are fast and difficult to evade, requiring constant movement and careful positioning. Success depends on balancing offense and defense: creating a path through the shields while avoiding the relentless attacks from the fortress at the center. Be careful not to get too close to the center of the screen. The vortex surrounding the enemy ship exerts a powerful gravitational pull, drawing nearby objects inward. Stray too close and your ship may be dragged into the vortex and destroyed. The game is best played using a hardware controller, though touch screen and keyboard input is also supported.
