CNC Tool Setup Calculator is a fast, offline calculator for tool setup at the machine. Enter a tool height and radius, and it gives you the value to type into the control - with the machine's Surrogate added automatically when one is installed. A Surrogate is a measured length that is added to every tool on that machine while it stays installed. No more re-deriving the same number, and no more forgetting whether it is on. BUILT FOR THE SHOP FLOOR - Large keypad and result display, readable at arm's length - One-handed operation, portrait only - Works entirely offline - no account, no sign-in, no network - Every length shown to four decimal places, in inches PER-MACHINE SURROGATE TRACKING Each machine remembers whether its Surrogate is installed, its current measurement, when it was measured, and its full history. Height to Enter is the tool height alone when the Surrogate is removed or the machine has none, and tool height plus the current Surrogate when it is installed. A removed Surrogate value is never silently reused. TOOL PRESETS, OR ENTER YOUR OWN Pick from built-in presets for common cutter geometries - ball and lollipop endmills, bull endmills with corner radii, high-feed cutters, barrel cutters, and flat endmills, drills and taps at zero radius. Or choose Other / Manual and type any tool height and radius yourself. CALCULATION HISTORY Keeps up to 1,000 saved setups. Reuse a past setup with one tap - it keeps your current machine and never restores a historical Surrogate value. ACCESSIBILITY Full VoiceOver support with real unit announcements, haptic feedback on key presses, and glove-friendly touch targets. SAFETY This app assists with tool setup calculations. Always verify Tool Height, Radius, machine configuration, and workplace procedures before entering values into a CNC control. PRIVACY Everything stays on your iPhone.
