Store description excerpt

Clippy remembers what you copy, so you can get it back later. Every piece of text you copy is saved to a searchable history that survives restarts. Pin what you reuse, filter by the kind of content it is, and copy any entry back with a single tap. WHAT YOU GET • Persistent history — newest first, kept across restarts • Search — find any entry by its contents • Pinning — keep the snippets you reuse, and clearing your history leaves pinned entries untouched • Automatic filters — entries are sorted into Link, Email, Phone, Color, Number, Code, Text block and Text • Full viewer — open any entry to read or copy the whole thing • Undo — deleted something by mistake? Put it straight back • Source labels — see whether an entry came from the clipboard or was shared to Clippy TWO WAYS TO SAVE SOMETHING Auto-capture picks up new copies while Clippy is open. Android does not let apps read the clipboard in the background, so anything you copy elsewhere is captured the moment you switch back to Clippy. To save text without switching apps at all, use Share → Clippy from any app, or tap Clippy in the text-selection menu. That works while Clippy is in the background, and it never needs to read your clipboard. SEND FILES BETWEEN YOUR DEVICES Clippy can receive files over your own Wi-Fi, with no account and nothing to install on the sending device. Choose a folder for incoming files, start sharing, and Clippy shows a QR code. Scan it from a phone, tablet or laptop and a simple upload page opens in the browser. Pick your files, send them, and they land straight in the folder you chose. You can set a custom port if the default is already in use. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your clipboard history is stored on your device and nowhere else. There is no account to create, no cloud, no sync server and no analytics. When you receive files, the upload page is hosted by your own device on your local network, so the files never travel over the internet — and sharing runs only while you have it switched on.
