After that, $14.99 one time unlocks unlimited estimates, clients and price-book items — forever. Not a subscription. Nothing expires, and nothing you have already written stops working because you stopped paying. MARKUP THAT TELLS THE TRUTH A 20% markup is a 16.67% margin. They are not the same number, and a contractor who wants to clear twenty and types twenty is short five dollars on every hundred of cost. ClearBid asks which one you mean and prints the other one right under the field, before you send the quote. YOUR OWN PRICE BOOK Materials and labor rates entered once, with their markup attached, carried into any estimate. The second quote is faster than the first, and the tenth is faster than the second. It is your book — it lives on your phone, not inside a subscription you have to keep paying to open. TAX THAT FOLLOWS THE CATEGORY Most states tax materials and not labor; some tax repair work but not new construction. ClearBid holds your rate and exactly which categories it applies to. There is no built-in rate table, on purpose — rates change by state, county and city, and a stale built-in number ends up on a document somebody signs. A QUOTE YOU CAN HAND OVER Your business name, license number and contact details on every document. Itemized, grouped by category, or a single lump sum — your call, per quote.
